Futures Risk Disclosure. Trading futures and other derivatives carries a substantial risk of loss and may not be suitable for everyone. You could lose more than your initial investment. Before trading, consider your financial situation and risk tolerance carefully, and consult the full risk disclosure before using Tick or connecting a brokerage account. CFTC Hypothetical Performance Disclosure. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading.

1. What Tick is

Tick is a social trading journal. It connects to your brokerage account read-only, imports your trade history, and lets you journal privately, post trades to a public feed, join communities, and submit pre-market theses.

2. What Tick is not

Tick is not a broker, a futures commission merchant, an introducing broker, a commodity trading advisor, or an investment adviser. We are not registered with the CFTC, the NFA, or the SEC.

We do not provide trading, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing on Tick is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Content posted by other users is their opinion, not ours, and we do not endorse it.

We never execute trades. We cannot place, modify, or cancel an order on your behalf. Our brokerage access is read-only.

Trading futures and forex involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You could lose more than your initial investment. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. One account per person. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

4. Connecting a brokerage account

You authorize us to access your brokerage account read-only and import your order and fill history. You may revoke that authorization at any time.

We are not responsible for your broker's availability, accuracy, or conduct, and your relationship with your broker is governed by your agreement with them. If your broker's data is wrong, incomplete, or delayed, what Tick displays will be too.

5. Verified data, and what verification means

A verified badge means the trade data came directly from your broker's records rather than being entered by hand. It means nothing more.

It is not a statement that a trade was well reasoned, that a trader is skilled, or that results will repeat. We do not verify, endorse, or check the accuracy of any commentary, analysis, thesis, or claim a user writes alongside their trades.

6. Public display of your data

By using Tick you agree that the following are published:

  1. Your coverage percentage is always public, regardless of your journal's access setting. You cannot disable this. It is a core feature of the service, and by connecting an account you accept it.
  2. Trades you post to the feed are public, including their verified data.
  3. Theses are sealed on submission and published in full at 4:00 PM Eastern the same trading day. Publication is automatic and irreversible. Do not submit anything you are unwilling to publish.
  4. Mentor Round votes are published with your name at the same time, as comments on the theses you voted on, whether or not you added a written note.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service. That license ends when you delete the content, except where others have already interacted with it and for released theses, which remain part of the public record of that trading day.

You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

8. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • Misrepresent your trading results or identity, or attempt to display trades that are not yours
  • Attempt to circumvent, falsify, or manipulate the verification system or coverage percentage
  • Provide personalized investment advice, or solicit or manage other people's money, through Tick
  • Post unlawful, harassing, fraudulent, or infringing content
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the service or other users' data
  • Use Tick to promote schemes involving guaranteed returns or to solicit funds from other users
  • Resell or redistribute market data or other users' data

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

9. Subscriptions

Journal subscriptions and community subscriptions are separate products, priced separately by the trader offering them.

When you subscribe to another user's journal or community, you are paying that user for access to their content. Tick facilitates the transaction and retains a service fee, disclosed at the time of purchase and in the trader's payout settings. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or continued availability of what a trader publishes, and we are not responsible for disputes between subscribers and the traders they subscribe to.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms.

10. Availability

We provide the service as is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always be accurate or current. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Tick, from reliance on any content on it, or from any trading decision you make. Our total liability will not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You agree to indemnify Tick LLC against claims arising from your content, your conduct, or your breach of these terms.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms or for conduct that harms the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Before filing any claim, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting matteo@pitline.to, and to allow thirty days for resolution. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the application before taking effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
